| 1. | Your Need |

| 2. | Your Helplessness |
| Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. John 14:6 By observing the law no one will be justified. | 3. | God's Provision for Your Need

| For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 |
We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him (Jesus) the iniquity of us all. | 4. | God's Promise to Meet Your Need

Being confident of this, that he (God) who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6 Therefore he (Christ) is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. | 5. | How do I claim God's promise of salvation?

To claim God's promise of salvation, you must believe that Jesus truly is the son of God, was crucified on the cross in your place--as
payment for your sins, was buried and rose again to life on the third day, ascended to Heaven and now sits on the right hand of God.

If you truly believe this, congratulations, you are saved! Being 'saved' means that you no longer will be held accountable for your past sins, you will not have to pay the price on judgement day. Christ paid the price for you and you are now a child of God. However, it doesn't end there. This is NOT like a fire insurance policy you purchase then just set aside until you need it. Your are now a new creation through your saving faith in Christ. |
| 6. | Your new life in Christ

You have now begun your new life in Christ. There are a few things you should do. Beginning with some changes in your regular routines.

You need to remove any and all sinful actions that you have done in the past. Remove these from your life immediately. Anything that separates you from God and living a life set apart for God is sin. Replace these sins with new things from God. Daily read God's word, this is the way you cleanse yourself and also the way you will hear from God most often. As you grow in your faith and walk with God, you will begin to hear him talking to you through His Holy Spirit directly to your spirit. Not in words, but through your concious. You will begin to recognize what is right and wrong through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. You need to examine your life daily, recognizing your sins and asking God the Father for forgiveness on a continual basis. God's gift of salvation is a wonderful gift, it was given to you by His grace and not because you've done anything to earn it; however, God makes it clear in His Holy word that Christ died for you and once you believe in Him, you have been forgiven for all of your past sins. As we are human, we continue to sin no matter how much we may not want to do so, as you grow in your new life in Christ, you will naturally sin less and less as Christ's nature replaces your nature, but each time you commit a new sin, no matter how small, you must ask forgiveness from God the Father. God's word tells us that He is just to forgive us, that is to say that He has promised to forgive us if we confess our sins and also 'repent' of them. 'Repent' means to turn away from your sins and not to intentionally commit them again. As a new creation through Christ, we are now 'adopted' children of God the Father. It is no longer our nature to willfully commit sins. That is not to say we will not commit sins as Paul said, his spirit was willing but his flesh was weak, and so it is with us. We will no longer have the same longing or desire to commit sins that separate us from God. When you do commit sins, God's Holy Spirit that now lives within you will speak to your spirit and our concious let you know that what you are doing is wrong. It is also important that you make a daily effort to grow in your new life with God. You do this by not only reading your bible daily, but also by praying to God the Father on a regular and even continual basis. You also need to find other Christians with whom to fellowship on a regular basis. The most likely place to find other Christians is at a local church. Whether it's a corporate church with it's own building or it's a homebased church, the most important thing is to find a group of fellow bible-believing Christians that accept the word of God as divinely inspired and inerrant (without error) in it's original manuscripts. I can tell you from personal experience that not everyone that calls themselves a Christian truly has a relationship with God the Father nor does every 'church' that claims to be Christian actually believe in the word of God, nor in Jesus as the son of God. The bible tells us to test the spirits because any that deny Jesus was God come in the flesh are not of God. Just because someone claims to believe in God does not mean they are Christian. The bible also tells us that even the devils believe in God, but that doesn't make them Christian's either. If you recognized your need for salvation and believe that Jesus is the son of God that came in the flesh, died and rose again, and now sits on the right hand of God the Father, you are now in a personal relationship with God the Father through the gift of His son.
